The VWR 97042-586 analog stirrer is microprocessor controlled and is equipped with easy-to-use, dial-adjustment controls. Enhanced electronics regulate stirring functions. A ramping feature gradually increases speed to prevent splashing, improve magnetic coupling, and provide excellent low end control. Speed is precisely controlled, with consistent stirring at all speeds powered by a dependable, continuous-duty motor. A low-profile design requires minimal bench space and permits use within a fume hood. The spill-resistant housing channels fluids away from internal components in the event of a spill. Stir bar is NOT included. This stirrer has a 4" x 4" ceramic top.

The stirrer is in good cosmetic condition with minor stains and wear from prior use.
The "switch cover" on the bottom of the unit is missing.
The stirrer powers on and responds to the control knob. It was tested by placing a paperclip in a cup of water and watching it spin. Power cord is included. Stir bar is NOT included. Please see photos for details!
