Set of 2 Antique Taunton Silverplate Candle / Flower Holders, Silver on Pewter

Description

A nice set of two Candle or Flower holders that would look lovely gracing any table.
These are Taunton Silverplate Co. Mass. and were made either 1853-1859 or 1872
to 1874 when the company was renewed and restored to activity. Stylized bird forms
make up each leg with butterflies and wheat stalks. Tripod base, 3 legged. 5-3/4 inch
tall, 3 1/2 inch measured across two legs. A cone shaped projection will capture a flower
or candle at the base when pushed down into it. Flower is not included, lol.
