    Description

    Early pre 1903 postcard showing the Serbian King Alexander Obrenovic and his consort Queen Draga. They were assassinated inside the Royal Palace in Belgrade in June 1903. It was a coup organized by a group of Army officers resulting in the extinction of the Obrenovic dynasty which had been ruling the Kingdom of Serbia since the mid 19th century.
