This pair of candle holders or candlesticks are beautiful. They have age. I believe they are Georgian in style. I am guessing they date to the mid 1800’s but I have been unable to date them for certain. I do not find any makers or other marks and I have removed the old felt pad from one as shown but find no marks there. The plate on the bottom is shown and is magnetic. I believe it is iron or steel plate and may have been added at a later date. They are weighted with pitch as can be seen in some photos. The Candle Holders measure about 11 1/2 inches tall and 5 5/8 inches across the base. They are in overall excellent condition with pretty much no wear. One has a very slight lean at the very top. They are not monogrammed. I am not certain if they are sterling silver or plated silver. I have acid tested them without a clear conclusion but I see no evidence of underlying brass when abraiding them to test. Please reference each of the photos for more views of the Candle Sticks.
