    Description

This beautiful decorative mug is 5 3/4" tall and about 3 1/2" across the opening & s
    igned by Mathew Adams.
The following info is from  “Collector’s Encyclopedia of Sascha Brastoff” .
“Mathew Adams exclusively painted all of Saschas’s “Alaska” ceramic line. These pieces were originally designed by Sacha for the Juneau, Alaska, tourist market. After delivery from the southern California factory, a paper label declaring “Souvenir of Alaska” was affixed. Ironically, many were purchased by California tourists and brought right back to the southland! Upon leaving Brastoff’s company, Matt Adams was granted permission to continue producing “Alaska” pieces. There are signed “Mathew Adams” or “Matt Adams”.
An online resource suggested Adams worked for the S. B. company in the 1950’s. This mug is in excellent condition, there are no chips or scratches.  It has the # 143 on the bottom, which may be a shape number.
