Often after tooth extraction, it is very important to completely debride the socket walls. Such a  procedure should not be rushed. All residue of periodontal ligament tissues should be removed from the socket walls to guarantee efficient healing process to the patient. The main lesion debridement can be taken care of by a surgical curette.
