one of our HAND-MADE copper wind spinners.  When blown by the wind, spinning will create illusion of sphere traveling within the spiral

Entirely hand-crafted by us, in California.
This items is NEWLY MADE at time of order.
We do not have any special packaging or tags.  We make each piece by hand, and then will wrap and ship once ordered.
SHIPPING: these are handmade and not imported/manufactured.  We offer our handcrafted art at our best possible price, while at the same time charging the cost to ship.  Any excessive overage shipping paid with order will be refunded once shipped.

This design we make is the only offered on-line with 3 marbles.   1 with a high quality clear solid glass sphere and 1 that uses solid glass, iridescent & translucent marbles.
The size is approx 17.5"T x 4.25"W. Tall is measured as image shows, from top of swirlie hook to bottom. Widest part measured across the disc.
The larger glass marble used is a 35mm sphere (approx 1.4" in diameter).
This design and size comes with different sized marbles within the illusion spiral. We select the marbles from a variety of colors and patterns.
You are welcome to request favorite colors
and we will
STRIVE
to accommodate as best we can. Or let us know colors NOT to use. We aim to satisfy, but marble choices vary too often based on availability, making it a challenge to provide GUARANTEED options.
We stick to familiar colors
: Reds, blues, greens, clears, yellow, gold, and a whole range of combos and patterns. The larger marble tends to have a nice iridescence to it as well. We do offer DIFFERENT designs with a premium quality clear colored glass sphere, and offer color customization choices on those offerings.
EACH top disc in this design with glass "flattie" centered on each side of the disc, and the disc has a hole cut out to allow sun/light to shine THROUGH the glass. The color will vary from piece to piece, but
currently you can choose from
: sky blue, cobalt blue, green and a gold-ish color.
We make this item ourselves.

This design comes with 3 marbles within the spiral. Color randomly selected by us to complement rest of the piece, although you are welcome to request colors and we'll TRY to accommodate based on our available selection (no guarantee).
Copper has been clear-coated with a spar-urethane to preserve luster. Not a permanent coat. Spray can be purchased at your local hardware store for retreating.
Durability will depend on your weather. Copper, over time, will patina. Will depend on your climate and direct exposure. We have made and sold these for 20+ years, and they have gone all over the world. People return to buy more.

Who we are
: Brighten Your Life Creations (BYLC) is the current state of an ever-changing arts and crafts business founded by my wife Gina and I as a  creative outlet and a fun way for us to spend some quality family time together.  BYLC originated as "Claythings"--our first venture into the arts and crafts community--and it suited our family perfectly.  The art form was pottery, with Gina at the wheel and me as the glazer and kiln operator.  Our business involved the whole family in one way or another: the kids got to enjoy the weekend vacations to trade shows throughout the Southwest and birthday parties featuring arts and crafts projects for friends and classmates.  Creating arts and crafts became an uplifting fixture in our family life.
What started off as a hobby on top of two full times jobs, soon evolved into an expensive hobby, then part-time enterprise to help cover costs of materials.  As it turned out, attending the shows and festivals to display and market our creations was actually fun, and combined with the fact that people were willing to exchange their hard earned dollars for our creations, we began to think that we were on to something here!  Making money and having fun - who'd of thunk it?
As our kids have grown, they have become more involved in the business and have helped to wrap beads and stones in the wire art, help out in the booth at shows, and generally support BYLC with creative ideas.
Over time, our art forms evolved from pottery to decorative stone fountains and succulent planters, to various types of wind-chimes and finally, into the copper wind sculptures and wire art that you see at out shows and on this website today.
BYLC is the result of a steady progression of our search for a creative outlet and finding an art form that most appeals to our customers.  We really do keep in mind the name of our business, which reflects our motto: We want to "Brighten Your Life" with our "Creations."  We hope you find our works brighten your life as much as they have ours!
