    Description

See Wikipedia for a full history - a shorten version:  The quintuplets, born in 1934, were the first to survive with a birth weight of only 13 pounds, 6 ounces for the five.  The following year, Brown & Bigelow Advertising Company of St. Paul, Minnesota, used the girls' fame to advantage, negotiating a contract which gave Brown & Bigelow the exclusive use of the girls' photographs and
images.  Between 1935 and 1951, more than 20 million Dionne calendars were distributed throughout the world.  Unfortunately, Brown & Bigelow has no records of the number of Dionne fans made.  Fan historians have determined that 10 different fans were made starting with a sepia tone photo of the girls on their potty seats and ending with a 1943 depiction of them romping in the surf.
The fan has a 8-1/8" W x 9-1/4" H leaf and the total fan with stick is 14-3/4" high.
