    W.&J. Sloane was a preeminent supplier of furnishings for the top echelon of society - check the web for what the used pieces are selling for today.  The fan is 5-1/2" wide when open and the "paper sticks" are 3-5/8", it is finished with a brass rivet an a green yarn tassel.
