Antique Chinese Carved Soapstone Figure Of Shoulao (Old Wise Man) 7-1/4" high

Description

I had acquired this at auction.  While I did have a corner of my old house with a number of Asian pieces, I'm moving so I need to reduce my collection.
I believe this soapstone piece is a Shaolau...a old wise man.  He carries a peach, a sign of good luck and a staff.
The figure measures 7-1/4"  and is is 3-1/2" at the widest.
I don't know the age.
Regarding condition, I'll note below:
The bottom and the back have small wholes, probably where the piece was attached to a stand.
There are some white marks but the detail stills looks sharp.
The back has scratching, especially around where the whole is.
I have not try applying any polish to the stone to reduce the appearance of scratching as I like it the way it is.
